BADGRTechnologies LLC ("we", "our", "us") built BADGR Bolt as a commercial Android application. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.
If you use BADGR Bolt as a free user without creating an account, no personal data leaves your device. All reading content and progress are stored locally. This policy primarily governs data handling for users who create an account or purchase a Pro subscription.
BADGR Bolt does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
Payment processing for Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details.
Your email address is used solely to create and manage your account. We do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
Reading progress and book metadata are synced to Firebase Firestore to restore your library when you sign in on another device or reinstall the app.
Crash logs and anonymous analytics help us identify bugs and prioritise features. No personally identifiable data is included in these reports.
BADGR Bolt uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Your account data (email, synced books, reading progress) is retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Upon deletion, all Firestore data associated with your user ID is permanently removed.
Crash logs and analytics data are anonymised and cannot be individually attributed or deleted.
BADGR Bolt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
All data transmitted between BADGR Bolt and our services is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data stored in Firebase Firestore is encrypted at rest by Google. We follow security best practices in our development process, including scoped database access rules that prevent any user from accessing another user's data.
BADGR Bolt requests only the single permission listed above. No permissions for location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage are requested.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app adds new features or services. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of BADGR Bolt after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
